Jim Dant Jim Dant is pastor at Highland Hills Baptist Church where he has served for almost ten years. Jim is a native of Mississippi but spent his elementary school years in southern Arkansas and his high school years in west Kentucky. He is a graduate of Georgia State University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Columbia Theological Seminary. He has also enjoyed post graduate studies at Princeton Theological Seminary and Hebrew College.
Jim has lectured as an adjunct professor at Mercer University for eight years, contributed regular articles to the national magazine Baptists Today, written curriculum for Smyth & Helwys Publishing, Inc., and authored several books, including: 1 & 2 Samuel: Surviving the Tensions of Life, Background Music: Notes to My Daughter, and recently released by Mercer University Press, The Truth is Sensational Enough.
Jim loves to read, play guitar, run (completed three marathons and two triathlons last year), write, attend concerts (last year - the Allman Brothers, Eagles, James Taylor, Pat Metheny, Rush, John Mayer, Peter Frampton and Styx - to name a few) and...ponder.
